Timmins, ON – On Tuesday, June 4th, Timmins Police Service conducted dedicated traffic enforcement.
By the end of the day, the following charges were issued:
- 7 charges for Drive Hand-Held Communication Device violations: $610 fine and a suspension of the driver’s license upon conviction
- 1 charge of Amber Light Fail to Stop: $180 fine
- 1 charge of Careless Driving: $490 fine
- 2 charges of Failing to Have a Valid Insurance Card: $65 fine each
Timmins Police Service would like to remind all drivers of the importance of adhering to traffic laws to ensure the safety of all road users. Distracted driving, in particular, poses a significant risk and will continue to be a focus of traffic enforcement initiatives.
