Arrests Made for Past Weapons Incidents
Two separate arrests have been made for two separate weapons incidents.
On May 7th, 2024, Timmins Police Service responded to a weapons incident on Sixth Avenue and a subsequent motor vehicle collision in the area. On May 11th, a traffic stop was conducted by members of the Ontario Provincial Police and two males were identified as being involved in the weapons incident on Sixth Avenue, Juelz MCRAE of Markham was placed under arrest and the second male fled the area of the traffic stop on foot.
On May 27th, 2024, Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police Detachment assisted the Timmins Police Service with arresting Keisaun ROBERTSON 22-years-old from Beeton, Ontario. He has been charged with Attempt to Commit Murder and numerous firearms offences.

On July 1, 2023, Timmins Police responded to an incident on Cedar Street North which resulted in a serious injury sustained by a 20-year-old man. The incident under investigation focused on an altercation with a firearm that occurred at the Cedar Street North address between two male suspects and the 20-year-old male victim.
On June 5, 2024, the Durham Regional Police Service assisted the Timmins Police Service with arresting a 16-year-old young person, who cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth has been charged with:
- Attempt to Commit Murder using a Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm
- Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Discharge a Restricted Firearm or prohibited Firearm with Intent
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammo
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
The young offender is held for custody and is scheduled to appear in bail court on June 6th, 2024.
