The Timmins Police Service has reopened the area of Third Avenue between Pine Street and Cedar Street following a weapons investigation. There are no further updates to share at this time, as our team continues to actively investigate the incident.
We are still seeking assistance from the public. If you have any additional information or video surveillance from the downtown core—specifically the area between Spruce Street and Cedar Street, and from Second Avenue to Sixth Avenue—captured between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM, we encourage you to submit it online via our secure portal at https://timminspolice.ca.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/ti24025299 or contact the Timmins Police Service directly at 705-264-1201.

The Timmins Police Service is currently conducting a weapons investigation in the area of Third Avenue between Pine Street and Cedar Street. The weapons incident occurred overnight. A heavy police presence is in place, and as a precaution, we are asking the public to avoid the area entirely.
Both pedestrian and vehicular traffic will not be permitted through this area until further notice to ensure public safety and the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
