
(TIMMINS) – The Timmins Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a stolen quilt that was recently taken from the Timmins Museum National Exhibition Centre on February 18th, 2025. This irreplaceable wall hanging was created to honour survivors and their journeys, serving as a powerful tribute to resilience, healing, and remembrance.
The quilt, which holds deep emotional and cultural significance, was handcrafted with care and represents the voices and experiences of those who have endured and overcome hardship. Its disappearance is not just a loss for the Museum, but for the entire community.
We ask that anyone who may have seen this quilt, has information on its whereabouts, or may have noticed suspicious activity near the Museum, to come forward. Your help in recovering this meaningful piece is invaluable.
