
A joint investigation involving the Timmins Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Northeast Region Community Street Crime Unit and Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit has resulted in the execution of two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrants and the arrest of three individuals.
In June 2026, members of the three police services commenced a joint drug trafficking investigation after identifying suspected illicit drug trafficking from a residence in the area of Birch Street South, which was connected to a residence in the area of Rekela Street in Timmins, Ontario. As a result of the investigation, two CDSA search warrants were obtained for the identified residences.
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Timmins Police Service Emergency Response Team executed the search warrants at the two residences without incident.
Compton TAITT was arrested at the residence in the area of Birch Street South. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity and variety of illicit drugs, along with cash and other items.
Kody BROWN and Jessica NUNEZ were arrested at the residence in the area of Rekela Street. A large quantity of cash, prohibited weapons and other items were seized.
All three individuals were transported to the Timmins Police Service station.

Items Seized
As a result of the search of the Birch Street South residence, police seized:
- 190 grams of fentanyl (brown/yellow powder)
- 240 grams of cocaine
- 379 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 43 oxycodone (Percocet) tablets
- $9,478.75 in Canadian currency
- Three cellular phones
- One digital scale
As a result of the search of the Rekela Street residence, police seized:
- Approximately $89,177 in Canadian currency, bundled
- One money counter
- Brass knuckles
- One conducted energy weapon
- Three cellular phones
- Financial documents
Estimated Street Value
The estimated street value of the drugs seized during the investigation is $124,530.

Police also seized a total of $98,655.75 in Canadian currency, consisting of approximately $89,177 seized from the Rekela Street residence and $9,478.75 seized from the Birch Street South residence.

- Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
Compton TAITT, Kody BROWN (of Timmins) and Jessica NUNEZ (of Timmins have jointly been charged with:
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Proceeds of Crime – Over $5,000
Kody BROWN and Jessica NUNEZ have jointly been charged with:
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – Two Counts
- Possession of a Prohibited Device – Two Counts
TAITT, BROWN and NUNEZ are being held in custody pending bail hearings.
