The Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division has made significant progress in solving a series of break and enters at business locations within or in close proximity to the downtown core.
Subsequent investigative work led to the execution of a search warrant at a residential address where several stolen items, including electronics (laptop computers and tablets), photography equipment, copper cable, food and clothing items were recovered.
As a result of the investigation, Cameron BLUEBOY, a Timmins resident with a known history of property-related crimes, was arrested and charged. BLUEBOY has been identified as the primary individual responsible for conducting these breaks and enters. Police also identified 3 other people involved in these crimes. A total of 60 charges have been laid including: Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over and Under $5000, Mischief Under $5000.
“The availability of good quality video, coupled with keen observational skills and experienced investigators, helped to solve numerous break and enters,” said Acting Inspector Vallier.
BLUEBOY remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on January 15th, 2025.
The Timmins Police Service commends the dedication and teamwork of its officers in bringing these cases to resolution. This collaborative effort highlights the commitment to ensuring community safety and holding offenders accountable.
