The Timmins Police Service is reminding all Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) drivers that they are required to remain in the right lane (slow lane) when traveling through the city, from Porcupine along Highway 101 to beyond Canadian Tire at Highway 101 West.
Clearly posted signage throughout this corridor advises CMV drivers of this regulation. Failure to comply may result in charges under the Highway Traffic Act for Disobey Sign, carrying a fine of $110 and two demerit points.
This regulation is in place to maintain traffic flow and enhance road safety for all motorists. The Timmins Police Service will continue to monitor compliance and enforce the regulation as necessary.
CMV drivers are urged to adhere to posted signage and ensure they are traveling in the appropriate lane to avoid penalties.
