Suspicious Death Investigation Upgraded to a Homicide

(TIMMINS) – Following the completion of a post-mortem examination yesterday, the Timmins Police Service has upgraded the ongoing investigation into the suspicious death on March 18, 2025, to a homicide.

The victim of this homicide has been identified as Paula MALLETTE, 57, of Timmins.

The Timmins Police Service continues to explore all investigative avenues and is still seeking public assistance. Anyone with dashcam footage from March 18th between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the area of Algonquin Boulevard West, between Preston Street and Rea Street North, is encouraged to submit their footage through the secure portal: https://timminspolice.ca.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/ti25005226 Even if the footage appears unrelated, it may hold value to investigators.

Timmins Police Service have now released the scene; however, the investigation remains ongoing.
