(TIMMINS) The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into an incident that has
led to the arrest of a Timmins man.
The Timmins Police Service responded to an afternoon altercation that occurred on Friday,
January 26th at an Algonquin Blvd retail store where a 29 -year-old store clerk was assaulted.
The investigation determined that a verbal dispute between an unwelcome patron and store
clerk escalated to the point where the suspect threw at item as the store clerk striking her as he
fled the store on foot.
The suspect was identified, located, and arrested later that same day by the Timmins Police
Service.
As a result, Adam PORTER, 45, of Timmins has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
- 4 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused was released from police custody at a bail hearing but is compelled to attend at
the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on February 8th to answer to the charges laid against
him
