
UPDATE – November 6th, 2025
(TIMMINS) The Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the weapons incident that occurred in the area of Fifth Avenue and Cedar Street North in Timmins shortly after 8PM on November 5th, 2025, in which two victims sustained gunshot wounds. One of the victims was transported to the Timmins and District Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries while the second victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Criminal Investigation Unit is requesting assistance from the public to assist in identifying the person responsible for this incident. Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to contact the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201.

UPDATE: Weapon incident on Fifth Avenue near Cedar Street North
The Timmins Police Service responded to a weapons incident in the area of Fifth Avenue and Cedar Street North in Timmins shortly after 8PM. Two people suffered injuries as a result of the incident.
Patrol officers along with the Criminal Investigation Unit and Forensic Unit are actively investigating this incident. The Timmins Police Service has requested the assistance of the OPP K9. As such, police are requesting the public’s assistance by avoiding the area.
