
The Timmins Police Service has laid multiple drug trafficking-related charges following the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant in the City of Timmins.
On June 2, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the Timmins Police Service executed a CDSA search warrant at a residence in the area of Borden Avenue. Due to the nature of the investigation, members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and a drone operator were deployed to assist with the execution of the warrant and entry into the residence.
As a result of the investigation, three individuals were arrested and charged.
Richard ANDERSON, 65, of Timmins, is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Stephane MORIN, 42, of Timmins, is charged with:
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Peter SUTHERLAND, 46, of Timmins, is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)
As a result of the search warrant, police seized the following:
- 22.9 grams of fentanyl, with an estimated street value of $4,580
- 0.2 grams of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $20
- 20 methamphetamine (“Ice”) tablets, with an estimated street value of $40
- 15 morphine tablets, with an estimated street value of $150
- 642 Percocet tablets, with an estimated street value of $12,842
- Canadian currency totaling $43,468
All accused parties remain in custody and are scheduled to attend bail hearings on June 3, 2026.
