(TIMMINS) – Between January 28th and February 23rd, 2025, the Timmins Police Service undertook a dedicated warrant initiative aimed at locating and apprehending individuals wanted on outstanding warrants.
Officers focused on locating individuals identified as a priority by the Crown Attorney’s office. Once those individuals were addressed, officers continued efforts to locate other individuals wanted on outstanding warrants by the Timmins Police Service.
This initiative reinforced an environment where officers remained proactive in locating wanted persons during regular patrol duties. As a result of these concerted efforts, a total of 69 arrest warrants were executed during the initiative period.
“The dedication and perseverance of our officers throughout this initiative reflect their commitment to public safety and the administration of justice,” said Acting Inspector Tim Chalmers. “Their proactive approach and investigative efforts have contributed to holding individuals accountable and ensuring a safer community for all.”
The Timmins Police Service remains committed to enforcing outstanding warrants and ensuring that those wanted by police are brought before the courts. Through continued enforcement efforts and strategic initiatives, the service aims to enhance public safety and uphold the law in the community.
