
The Timmins Police Service has laid charges against two individuals following a serious assault that occurred at Hollinger Park on Friday evening.
On June 5, 2026, at approximately 5:49 p.m., officers responded to reports of an assault at Hollinger Park. Witnesses observed an accused and co-accused assaulting a victim. Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and transported the victim to Timmins and District Hospital for immediate medical treatment.
The victim sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
Roger CHOOKOMOLIN, 62, of Timmins, has been charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Karen WESLEY, 44, of Timmins, has been charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Two Counts of Breach of Recognizance
Both accused individuals were held for a bail hearing and have been remanded into custody. They are scheduled to appear before court today on June 8, 2026.
