The Timmins Police Service has charged two local men with a Criminal Code offence stemming from an assaultive altercation that occurred during the morning hours of February 6th in the north end of the city.
The Timmins Police Service responded to a complaint regarding two male suspects who had accosted a 20-year-old female pedestrian in an alleyway.
The woman was assaulted on her way home by both men as they stole her personal belongings and fled on foot.
Based on investigation, responding Timmins Police officers were able to identify, locate and arrest both suspects a short while later.
Based on the outcome of the investigation, Mark BLUEBOY (OKIMAW), 21, and Liam ARCHIBALD, 19, both of Timmins, have been charged respectively with:
- Robbery with Violence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Both accused men remained in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for February 6th at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against them.
