The Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division has made significant progress into the investigation relating to the shooting incident that occurred in the area of Rea Street South in Timmins on August 1, 2026. Police have identified the deceased as Cole LEFAIVE, 32 years old. Next of Kin have been notified. The second victim remains in hospital with life threatening injuries.
Investigators have charged Kaleb BOOTH, 22, of Timmins and Kaitlin FUDGE, 32, of Timmins with the following:
- One count of First-Degree Murder
- 2 counts of Attempted murder
- 2 counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of
trafficking (cocaine and methamphetamine) - Possession of Proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000, and
- Multiple firearm related offences
FUDGE was located and arrested on August 1 2026. She appeared in bail court on August 2 2026, and has been remanded into custody.
BOOTH was arrested on August 2, 2026 and is being held in custody.
